Our Community

The North End has always been the first home for immigrants new to our country.  We have a rich history of coming together for the good of the community.  We welcome the newest residents to our ever-changing community.  At the same time we honor and respect our past.

About Us

Our Beliefs

When the North End Community Foundation (NECF) was established in 2000 its main purpose was granting scholarships to graduating seniors from local schools.  Once a year donations were given to local non-profit organizations located in the North End.

Now, the North End Community Foundation is expanding its vision to serve as an advocate, convener, and catalyst for the North End community.  We work, in partnership with other organizations in our community, to identify neighborhood challenges and seek opportunities to address them.  We bring together many cultures so that we may speak with one voice.

The mission of the North End Community Foundation is to develop a local endowment that provides funding dedicated to the long-term stability of the North End.  We strive to improve the quality of life for all who live, work, or play in the North End.  We seek community input, along with advice from our donors, to guide us.
